Well the season is over (Well almost anyway if you don’t count the battle of the bull). In all honesty this season has been disappointing from a performance point of view (both first and second team). However there has been quite a few positives which I would like to concentrate on. Some of the younger players have started to make the step up. Players like Jordan “Clive” “Bob” Wood has performed at a consistently high level opening the bowling on most occasions for the second team. Jack Turnbull started to move up the batting order with some good performances and in the first team Mark Dunn has managed to turn himself into an all-rounder after several good performances with the ball. I would like to thank the little fairies that continue to maintain the ground and have managed to keep the summer full of cricket despite the terrible weather. (Please remember to support these fairies all you can!) Finally the last game of the season is a battle of pride, family vs. family. Both Ben & Jack Turnbull will captain their sides this Saturday at the Mace. All are welcome so please come and enjoy. Regards Pete Marriott
